Miera was one of the 27 seized pit bulls from a home in Cleveland.
She was rescued by our organization, and put into foster care just after Christmas. These 27 dogs lived a loveless life of pain & neglect.
Miera’s physical condition appears to be the worst of the 27. She was diagnosed with a rare disease that is common among “bait dogs”, called Babesia Gibsoni. This is a rare blood disorder that requires extensive care and testing. Miera is still rehabilitating, and has at least another two months before she can be healthy enough to be adopted.
Her medical bills to date are over $2,500. We will have more updates on her medical status and prognosis over time. We are hoping to raise funds to help cover some of these costs. Any thing you can contibrute for Miera's care is so appreciated.
